The 501st saw action on multiple battlefronts across the galaxy, becoming part of several historic engagements such as the Battle of Christophsis, the Second Battle of Geonosis, and the Battle of Umbara. The 501st Legion's attack on the Jedi Temple also affected the life of Reva Sevander, the Jedi youngling who turned to the dark side of the Force and joined the Inquisitorius as a Jedi hunter. Her position as an Inquisitor was a ruse, though, as the former youngling had infiltrated the Empire's ranks in the hope of an opportunity to assassinate Darth Vader for the slaughter of her peers. During the attack on Jabiim[88] around 9 BBY,[108] Sevander recalled the night of Order 66 to Obi-Wan Kenobi, confirming the Jedi Master's suspicion that she was a youngling who survived the Temple's fall to the 501st. What is known is that she detests the Golden Order and everything that represents it, as the Golden Order has been using her as a pawn and been doing everything in their power to keep her under their will. It is later revealed that Ranni desires to replace the Golden Order in favor of her own where the souls are not bound to the Erdtree and Greater Will, but instead free to live their own path in a world of darkness.

The Nadder's fire, due to being made up of magnesium, looks like a torrent of concentrated sparkles. These dragons usually emit fires in an instant and the flames travel fast and straight. Nadders can also sustain a low flame in their mouths to give off light and illuminate dark caves. However, due to its blind spot, they prefer to use their tail spines instead of fire. Stormfly has shown the ability to use an intense, blue-white blast of fire much more powerful than that of a average Nadder. Some Nadders were also seen projecting green fire.
